Growing up; when a person was describing something that a person created which they thought was amazing, they would use the phrase “That’s pretty slick!”

When I joined the Air Force in the late 90’s; everyone is addressed by their last name and people struggled to say Schellig. A Southern buddy of mine always called me “SCHLICK” and it stuck throughout the next 20+ years.

During the COVID-19 pandemic; being stuck in the house, I began observing the birds in my backyard and wanted to capture what I was seeing. So I ordered cameras and lenses and began researching proper photography techniques. As we gained a little more freedom to explore outside our yards, I started appreciating the landscape around me more and began focusing my efforts on that genre.

I do not claim to be a good photographer as I am still very new to this hobby, but I do enjoy attempting to create amazing images in hopes that people will think they are “Slick.”

I appreciate you visiting my site and checking my progress as I attempt to create “SCHLICK SHOTS.”
